SPECIALISED
IRON OXIDES & MIO.
Engineered mineral fractions where physical crystal structure, specular lamellarity, and narrow particle distributions dictate performance across industrial coatings, foundry additives, and friction formulations.
MICACEOUS IRON OXIDE (MIO):
THE VALUE IS IN THE STRUCTURE.
The protective performance of Micaceous Iron Oxide (MIO) is fundamentally determined by its high-aspect specular lamellarity. When formulated into protective primers, epoxy intermediates, and structural bridge coatings, the overlapping platelets orient parallel to the substrate surface, forming an impenetrable barrier against moisture permeation, ultraviolet degradation, and atmospheric corrosive ions.
*Custom grading envelopes prepared against specific formulator rheology and dry film thickness (DFT) targets.
Processed & Value-Added Iron Oxides
Beyond standard commodity lumps, our mechanical milling circuits produce engineered grades for specialized industrial chemistries.
Processed Magnetite Powder
Fine processed magnetic iron oxide milled for technically qualified dense media separation (DMS), high-susceptibility composites, and radiation attenuation matrices.
Black Iron Oxide / Foundry Grade
Processed natural magnetite formulated as an anti-veining sand additive for core making in metal foundries, suppressing thermal expansion defects and lustrous carbon defects.
Natural Red Iron Oxide
Natural uncalcined red ferric oxide grades providing tinting strength, thermal stability, and lightfastness for construction blocks, architectural tiles, primers, and polymers.
High-Density Hematite Powder
Fine-ground hematite flour designed for high-density drilling fluids, oil-well completion muds, polymer ballast compounding, and brake friction linings.
Custom Mineral Grades
Bespoke particle-size envelopes, tailored surface treatments, controlled oil absorption, and customized chemistry verified through preliminary pilot trial lots.
Coating-Grade Specification
Tested against international standards for water-soluble salt limits, low electrical conductivity, pH neutrality, and maximum 63μm sieve residue.
